IN MEMORIUM

Oliver, brother to Toby and Rascal, died on Tuesday, September 23, 2008. For 16 years, he'd shared his life with us, an affectionate and loving kitty. Both the wildest and the most lovable of the three littermates, Oliver was an avid lap cat. He had a tiger's cleverness and double paws on his front feet, which he used to grab and hold onto things (including chair backs and your hand). He had a knack for making any position look like the most comfortable feather bed you could imagine, even when he was sitting in a box full of odd-sized, sharp-edged objects. He loved getting into boxes, even figuring out how to open copy paper boxes by pushing the lid up. He loved to play and race around the house, leaping over objects and across furniture. At night, he loved to curl up on our pillow or under the covers with us, serenading us to sleep with his purring. He's missed terribly by his family. Oliver leaves behind his two littermates, Rascal and Toby, and his two human companions Shelly and husband Greg.

Cumbie passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2006. With Sherry's help, she bravely struggled against a serious illness (renal kidney disease) for five months before her body gave up the battle. But now she's free of pain (and daily medicine!) and we hope she's happily chasing mice and drinking cream in kitty heaven. She leaves behind her two human companions Sherry and husband Rob, plus her relunctant cat companion, Hollis, to whom she passes rulership of the household.
