How to Order a Custom Quilt
Do you need a quilt made? We take custom quilt orders for quilts that are made to your specifications in design, color, and size. The price of a custom quilt varies depending on the size of the quilt (the material cost to make it) and the level of difficulty of the chosen design (the amount of time well need to complete it). All of the fabrics we use are 100% cotton, and completely washer/dryer safe. Browse the fabric pages for possible fabric options and samples of quilt designs, then contact us with your ideas and requirements. We are always willing to discuss details with you. We do not have a formal, physical shop but instead use the website as our storefront. We also vend at a selection of events during the year, details can be found on the Events page. Visiting us at an event is an excellent way to see examples of what we can make. We always have a selection of finished quilts and wall hangings when we vend. Also, its a good opportunity to see many of our available fabrics and to speak with us about what youre looking for in a quilt. If you wish to speak with us in person but cannot make it to an event, you can arrange an appointment to meet with us. Details can be arranged via email or telephone. BATTING: Generally, we use 100% low-loft polyester batting. Polyester batting comes in low-loft and high-loft. The difference is in how thick the finished quilt is, though there is really no difference in warmth between the two. For additional warmth, we can put a flannel fabric on the back of the quilt or we can use 100% cotton batting, or any of the wool/cotton blend batting types available (cotton or wool batting is more expensive). General Pricing for Custom Quilts: Three factors will determine the price for your custom quilt the size of the finished quilt, the materials used to make it, and the difficulty level of the chosen design. Generally, we can make the quilt to any finished size. |
